PillowTalk (Live + DJ)

[PillowTalk Music]

You know their songs the moment they come on - the lyrics, the vibe, the feeling - like you’ve known them forever, or maybe even snuck a peek into their closets.

But PillowTalk isn’t just a hushed conversation before bed - it’s a genre-blurring, soul-stirring band crafting heartfelt, groove-laden music since 2011. Born one electric summer in San Francisco’s Lower Haight District, PillowTalk - comprised of Sammy Doyle, Michael Tello, Ryan Williams, and Shane Duryea - fuses classic R&B, boogie, disco, rock, and house into something uniquely their own.

Now, 2025 is set to turn up the volume. With a fresh lineup and their third full-length album on the horizon, Body of Work is poised to energize dancefloors and light up festivals. This LP introduces new members Hannah Noelle (vocals), Tate Masimore (guitar/bass), Collin Brown (keys/synths), and the ever-magnetic Greg Paulus (trumpet). The sound? Think jackin’ gospel house meets urban funk, electronica, indie rock, and future R&B - a full-bodied musical experience that lives up to the album’s name.

Rooted in fearless experimentation, PillowTalk’s motto “D.A.G.” (Destroy All Genres) says it all. Influences span Talking Heads, The Police, Kraftwerk, Sam Cooke, Freddie Hubbard, Larry Heard, and Theo Parrish. Their music is surprising, emotive, and real.

With releases on Bar 25 Music, Crew Love, Visionquest, Life & Death, Dirtybird, Wolf + Lamb, Circus Company, Kompakt, and D-Edge, plus remixes for Groove Armada, Kasper Bjork, HVOB, and Soul Clap, PillowTalk has built a respected catalog. Collaborations include DJ Tennis, D.O.P., Ruede Hagelstein, Thugfucker, Deniz Kurtel, Tone of Arc, and Soul Clap.

Their live shows capture the magic of the dancefloor - soul-soothing lyrics, funky percussion, indie dance grooves, sultry hooks, and unforgettable melodies. From poolside jams to peak-time anthems, PillowTalk adapts to any stage, with charisma and energy that ignite crowds.

With residencies at Watergate (Berlin), Xaman Tulum (Mexico), Heart (Spain), and Housepitality (SF), plus appearances at Glastonbury, Sonar, BPM, Outside Lands, Lightning in a Bottle, Wonderfruit, and more, PillowTalk’s music has touched every corner of the globe.

As they head into 2025 with Body of Work and a world tour, PillowTalk is back - and the party’s just getting started.
