Sammy D is disk jockey, producer, vocalist, party purveyor and one of the founding members of the electronic act PillowTalk and original member of the Dirty Bird crew, both out of San Francisco. A musical career that has spanned over 25 years and has seen him release his music on some of dance music's most respected labels such as Derrick Carter and Luke Solomon’s London imprint Classic Music Company, Roam Recordings, San Francisco’s Dirty Bird Records, Kompakt, Life and Death, Visionquest, Circus Company, Watergate Records, Bar 25 Records, Wolf + Lamb, Soul Clap Records, Crew Love, Om Records and his own imprint PillowTalk Music. Sammy has played such international seminal clubs as Rex Club, Fabric, Watergate, Renate, Fuse, XOYO, Surreal, Suma Beach, Womb Tokyo, Mezzanine SF, Output, Pacha, Macarena, Razzmatazz, Club de Visionare, Egg London, Ministry of Sound, Printworks, Public Works, U Hall, Smart Bar, The Electric Pickle, The EndUp, DEdge, Warung etc….as well as some of the most respected festivals throughout the years including Glastonbury Festival, Burning Man, Dekmantel, Into The Woods, Outside Lands, Dimensions, Lightning in a Bottle, Detroit Music Festival, WMC, BPM Festival, SXSW Festival, Tribal Tech Festival, Sunset Campout, Garbicz Festival, Decibel Festival, Calvi on the Rocks, Garden Festival, Sonar, ADE and many more. 

From a featured BBC Radio One spot to Beatport #1 to top 10 live acts on RA and a Mixmag cover, Sammy has many accomplishments to his career. He was first recognized as Urb Magazines Next 100 with his then production partner Justin Martin in 2005. Soon after, he started the seminal and legendary and SF award winning techno party [Kontrol], from 2005-2011…which brought international live techno acts and DJ’s such as Speedy J, The Orbs Thomas Fehlmann, Modeselektor, Heiko Laux, Matthew Dear, Isolee, Dixon, Seth Troxler, Motor City Drum Ensamble, Michael Mayer, John Tejada, Akufen, Octave One, Craig Richards, Martin Landsky, Daniel Bell, Baby Ford, Zip and many others.
